February 25th, 1999	In the beginning of the year, the quality management system of SurTec GmbH in Trebur was subject to a severe check – not only DIN ISO EN 9001, it also had to meet the tough requirements of the Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA), the german Car Manufacturers' Association. A certificate from the VDA 6.1 will only be granted, if the total degree of fulfillment reaches a minimum of 90 %, and if no element is below 75 %. SurTec reached 97 %, a respectable value. “This certificate emphasizes our special commitment as a supplier of cleaning and anti-corrosion systems of the car industry,“ said Herbert Baunach, SurTec's president. The SurTec daughter companies in Switzerland, Austria and Denmark want to follow this year.
